Sutton attended and obtained Associate Diploma in Banking and Finance Services from the Chartered Institute of Bankers and Financial Services, United Kingdom from 1994 to 1997. She had earlier attended the City Banking College, London from 1990 to 1991. Secondary school education of Banke was at the Methodist Girls High School Yaba, Lagos from 1966 to 1972. She was at Mount Carmel Convent Girls primary school Ebute- Meta, Lagos for her primary school education between 1966 and 1972.
Banke Sutton had worked at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital in United Kingdom. She was saddled with the responsibility of procurement of medical supplies and stationeries at the hospital. Her responsibility at the hospital also involved budgeting setting and monitoring. Banke had also worked with African Continent Bank PLC from 1978 to 1994. She joined the bank as a young banker and rose to a supervisory position. She was saddled with the responsibility of providing financial and investment advice and giving information to members of the public while working with the bank. Banke Sutton had also gotten herself involved in humanitarian services both in Nigeria and in the United Kingdom. She is deeply involved in the activities of PLAN UK which is a charity organization that takes care of the third world generally.
