Adekanmbi also said he was in the race for good governance and to improve the welfare of the good people of Ondo State. He said, “I am in the race to ensure that Owo kingdom which is my beloved home town and indeed the Northern Senatorial District of Ondo State should be allowed to complete our two terms. It’s obvious now that Ondo State people do not want any further continuity”.

Adekanmbi also assured that he would soon unveil his agenda and kick start his campaign which will be tagged ‘THE TEA’. He further stressed that infrastructural development which is a statutory responsibility of any government would be given priority if he is elected the next governor of Ondo State.

“I am in this race to win and not as a participant. This project is backed by God, the ‘top’ and the good people of Ondo State.

“You can take this to the bank, come 2020; there will be a change and I am already positioned by God, South West leaders and ‘top’ leaders in Nigeria to effect this change in Ondo State.

“This is God’s project and nobody can stop it. I am prepared to give other contestants irrespective of their parties a good run for their money and political weights. I can assure that we now know the way to play the politics and we are poised to show them the way while others will follow us from behind. Just wait to see events unfold. I am fully prepared for this task and it will be only single term to demonstrate good governance”, Adekanmbi added.
